I do think he could identify good talent but there are lots of people out there with the same skill.  But every year he was here, except the 2nd half of this year, I was always expecting that position to be at least better than average.  
 
   It seemed like over and over again there were issues with the OL.  Not just 1 specific thing, that you could chalk up to lack of talent or whatever.  But different things all the time; false starts/holding penalties, not picking up a blitz, unable to create holes for the RB's,  and unable to give Nassib/Paulus time to throw the ball.  If I think back to the entire body of work and not just recent success; I would say he didn't do a great job in this area where I was expecting it to be a solid foundation, game in and game out.  Did he walk into a talent deficiency in that position when he started the job, absolutely.  But many coaches have been more successful with a lack of talent.  I can't remember who we had here the first year, Bees has mentioned in him in a coaching thread awhile ago.  I thought overall with the "talent" he had, he did a phenomenal job with his game planning/game calling and the O-Line played really well for their talent level.  He was then let go and until the 2nd half of this year the O-Line could be characterized as mostly inconsistent.
