I mentioned we had game planned that Shy would camp and show the coaches what he was made of. After Shy committed one of the coaches said to Shy thanks for coming to the camp it takes alot of guts to camp where you already have an offer. I guess my belief in shy and his abilities had never made me question him camping where he had an offer but thinking back it really could be risky for some kids. You can practice your speech and how you appear to the coaches and you can pick your highlights...but being in front of a coach and running his drills in person...if you had an offer and the coach didnt like how it went  you really could lose your offer easily... but i knew Shy on the field would be impressive. I knew he had to show them in person to over come any fears of taking a shot on him
