Little side story I thought is share. Last night I was a little late picking shy up from practice. All the other kids were gone and he was standing at the main gate leaning over the fence in the home end zone. It was getting dark and the field lights were still on. He was just kinda standing there. I came up behind him with out him hearing and said what are you thinking about the fact that your season is half over this week and you have only 4 games left in the last season of your highschool career? He turned around and said yeah how did you guess. I said I just knew the way you were standing staring at nothing. He said I was thinking I can't believe how fast it went by. I remind him of a time back in the first month of freshman year he was having a bad time in school and was saying how much he hated it. I told him in four years he will look back and not only say he can't beleive how fast it went by but that he would miss it. He said it did fly by but I'm too excited for college to miss it. I said it will come call me in February next year and you can tell me how you miss it. We got in the car and headed home and he said I still can't believe I'm going to play at syracuse. I said it probably won't hit you till the first time you head out on the field for the first game then it will hit you. Then he said you know it's really sad how many kids on the team will never play again after this season. I said well I think you need to make sure they get to a Super Bowl this year so they will at least have that memory. I could tell he was getting a little emotional thinking about the end of the year so I figured id lighten it up. I said I bet you a hundred bucks you cry at the last game. He says no way... But I know I'm gonna win this one. So then I said I'll give you a day without chores for every sack you get this week. He said what about touch downs? I said fine sacks forced fumbles fumble recoveries and touchdowns one day... He says he isn't doing chores for two weeks... So I guess he is looking for a big game. Lol
