To expand on this, John Wallace averaged 8.4 rebounds per game in college. Roberson averaged 8.5 rpg last year(i wont do his career avg because his freshman year where he barely played drags that down.) So he's a similar rebounder to John Wallace. Well, Wallace was a complete nonfactor on the boards as an NBA player. He hung around for awhile because he could score. Carmelo averaged 10 reb. per game at Cuse. He's a 6-7 reb. per game guy in the NBA. A good rebounder for a SF. Billy Owens averaged 11 rpg in a season at Cuse. He was a 6-7 reb per game guy in the pros. Obviously those two were/are really good at almost every other basketball skill and the solid rebounding at the pro level(elite in college) was just part of the package. It's a different ballgame at that level. Roberson has not demonstrated the level of rebounding ability so far that would even have him on the NBA's radar for his rebounding skills, based on the numbers. The blueprint for an energy guy in the NBA for his rebounding is Kenneth Farried, in my mind. He averaged 12 rpg for his college career, with over 13 per game as a soph and junior and over 14 per game as a senior. That's a whole different level from what Roberson has shown so far.
