Cardinals 5-2 in the the top of the 6th with Stanford batting.

Senior Jasmine Watson hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 1st to jump on the 13-2 Pac 12 squad. In addition Watson has two other hits in the game.

Stanford came into the weekend undefeated dropping a pair to #15 Baylor 7-1 & #23 LSU 5-3 before facing Syracuse.

San Diego native, freshman Christina Clermont is on the mound for the Orangewomen. She's thrown a lot of pitches, 93 so let's see if she can hold on.

Edit: Junior Lindsay Taylor started the top of the 6th in relief of Clermont

Taylor walks lead off hitter
Next batter singles to CF runners on 1st & 2nd
Taylor gives up a double to LF two runs scores now 5-4
Next batter lines out to 1b one out

Stanford breaks it open in the top of the 8th scoring 6 runs. Stanford 11-5 heading to the bottom of the inning.

EDIT: Must be a rule I am not aware of, but each team started the 8th inning with a runner on second. Weird.

EDIT: Final: Stanford 11-5

Darn. I was going to go to the games today. 4 hour drive. But I decided earlier last week to cancel.

They are playing international tiebreaker rules which places a runner on second to start each half inning

O Hara started the inning in the circle

Oh well, that was fun for a while
