A bit nervous w the UVa/MSU game... To me, this is a trap game for UVa... Maybe my opinion is biased but it seems UVa has more athletes here... and probably over the rest of the region now that Villanova is gone and since Justin Anderson has shown he's getting much closer to being at 100% again... MSU has a great coach and just took Wiscy to the edge last weekend... What's your thoughts here??? I'm feeling UVa by a very close margin while many other people are saying MSU with room to spare

Eh, this is a pick'em to me. Both teams are well-coached, and seem fairly evenly matched when you account for a slowed down Anderson and that Michigan State seems to be playing better of late so their confidence must be sky-high. Michigan State is a nightmare as a 7 seed for the lower seed. I can't say I'd be particularly shocked by any outcome - if one team gets hot from deep, they could coast along with something like a 10 point lead throughout, but I doubt we see a straight blowout in either direction. If we do, I'd guess that would be Michigan State getting hot and pulling away forcing Virginia out of their comfort zone.

I got UVA in a game decided in the last 5 minutes though.

**Edit: Nevermind, Magic is in the house and he spoke to the team...Michigan State by 5!!
 
I'm not sure NOT guarding Trice is a great gameplan by UVA.

We'll see how that shakes out though...

Maybe the anti-ACC folks on here will get what they want. Regular season champs beat down by the pride of the B1G.

You and me, both... Izzo is a great coach, and they get the credit they deserve, but enough already... it's so similar to the Duke love fest we endure all year long...
 
I don't know - that ball on Dawson's tip-in was about as "in the cylinder" as the UCLA shot was...

UVA really grabbed the momentum with that block 10mins in per Jim Nantz. Grant Hill points out Sparty has all the momentum 3minutes later, but adds they should be up more than 8 as they were going to the FT line after 13mins of play.

It's tightening up rn, so they say. UVA is getting some rhythm with their 17 points.

they just need to settle down, it seems like they are trying to get the lead back with one shot. If they just play their game they will be fine.

Hated Georgetown, mostly because we had an actual rivalry. We've played Virginia like three times in team history, I have no reason to hate Virginia. Sometime down the road a few years people will be rooting against ACC teams, but for right now, people are content to watch the ACC teams roll so they can say "see we were in the toughest conference, we should have made the tourney if eligible blah blah blah". I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

Good observation... Get MSU lead to 4 at half and go from there... Came out way too flat...
 
A battle between 2 defensive teams is like watching paint dry. Come on UVA get going. So sick of the Izzo love fest and Nance is so biased to MSU (at least it seems that way to me).
 
I am not interested in even one of those games except WVU vs. Maryland.
 
We need a 2nd solo (likely blowout) game? What. Sunday used to be done before 60minutes.
