The ACC remains the best conference in the country by a large margin.

The overall greatness of the conference will ultimately make the content on the ACC network the best of any conference network as well, whatever the format of the network ends up implemented as...

I'm still mad about the Men's soccer final. I think you guys would have fared better than we did.

how does the womens tournament have 10 more teams than the mens??

are more universities supporting womens lax than mens??

111 schools play Women's LAX

69 schools play Men's LAX
well ill be a monkeys uncle.

or aunt if i was bruce jenner.

didn't realize the sport was even that popular on a high school level to support that many on a college level...especially D1.

no kidding and i bet a lot of borderline caliber players.

cant wait to get home and tell the girl that softball practice has been cancelled indefinitely...as i rip the lax stick out of her brothers hand and give it to her as we head to the backyard to work on some stick drills.
Get her on a rowing machine. Rowing has 20 total schollies spread over a roster of over 40 athletes, the most available for any women's team.

Wrong stick.

Over 2500 HS currently offer Boys LAX, and it's growing every year.

Girls is over 2200, and counting.
So there's my point, less HS girls teams, yet more D1 programs.

There has to be a talent disparity.

I'm 'Xtremely' aware of the popularity and strength of the boys/Mens programs, having played myself over 30+ years ago.

Of course there is. The top programs get most of the top talent.
The others are looking for the star player that wants to help establish a program (or are afraid of not getting playing time at a top program).

The young ladies that end up playing at Syracuse, Northwestern, Florida, Maryland, etc. all know how to play.

Time for Gary to get his daughter a national championship! ;)

Follow up as the Director Cup standing are announced.

UNC wins both Lax championships

Baseball - 1o (of 64) teams in the 2016 tourney.

UVa wins men's tennis (2nd in a row), 3rd place in rowing.

I went to high school in South Jersey in the '70's. My school had a girls lacrosse team, but not boys.
