When a receiver beats their man for a long pass, they're outrunning the defense and not getting caught from behind...Nykeim's TD is Exhibit A.

What few big gains we would get in the last 20 years ended up in field goals because the receiver would be caught from behind and we couldn't punch it in. Speed is vastly improved on this team.

I'd also like to see him comfortably top 1000 yards

He's nearly at 700 now, and averaging 19.2 YPC. Needs 328 yards over the next four games to get there.

Amazing -- this isn't quite as amazing of a senior year only turnaround as Amba Etta-Tawo, but it is remarkable.

At his size / speed, this season has really positioned him well to get drafted.

Interesting question.

Speed isn't perceptive by touch.

It is measurable.

...

So, uh... by definition, no, it is not tangible. But can be perceived other ways.

Broader definition would still fit in my opinion, but I suspect you were just having fun.
I do appreciate your sense of humor and love what you bring to the forums as a whole. Just thought I’d add that, too.

Redshirting him in the middle of his career in hindsight was a brilliant decision.

It's too bad Custis was stuck behind that glut of talented receivers in those high-powered 2014 and 2015 offenses; he really could've put up some numbers.

Next year will be even better with Hendrix, Lutz, and Jackson in the WR depth chart.

Johnnie Morant is a pretty good comp.
