One Last Nova Observation

Seems like Nova's players are taught to body you and drive through your body. I don't think I remember seeing so many plays where our guys seemed to have their legs cut out from under them when they were in the air.

Just thinking quickly about it Roberson on an Alley Oop early in the 1st half and McCullough on that surfing incident in the second. Gbinije got undercut and ended up on his back on the floor in the first half.

Is that intentional or did it just happen a lot in this game?

Intentional. It happened at least five times, and the Villanova player usually looked aware of what he was doing.

Intentional, just like Mike Brey teaching his big men to put a hand on the lower body of the opposing big guy taking a shot underneath. It alters the shot and the refs never call it.

Intentional. I wish it wasn't, because I generally like Wright, but it's clearly something that they teach.

Nova fans call it their Murder D. I have to admit, it's an appropriate name. It still pisses me off how much they got away with and yes, I'm losing respect for Wright.
