In McD game, best high school kids in America, shot a blistering 7-42 from 3 last night. Think about that stat. Not only is the percentage horrible but also why are you taking so many if you cant hit them? One of the many issues holding back college ball right now imo....

Probably resulted from airtight perimeter defense.

The Mcdonalds game is a joke, I was really trying to get myself pumped up to watch it last night, to check out Malachi and Bryant. Then about halfway through the first half, I remembered how boring the game was, and changed the channel.

I really cant argue w you, its not always great basketball but on the other hand there is a good chance uk andor duk will be playing for a title on monday and uk has 9 McDs and duk has 8; i dont think thats a coincidence. The McD game many times is a sign of things to come imo....

Edit but ill reverse course yet again- i would be thrilled if Wisc or MSU won the title, esp Wisc- they dont have any McDs

McD's players are no joke, the McD's game is a joke. Think about it, you have 12 kids thrown together give them a practice or two to get to know each other and boom they are supposed to play well together. Everyone of those kids is normally used to being the best or near best player on the floor. Now they have to take a role and fit in on a team of great players with no time to practice and find that role or get to know each other.

It is what it is, an exhibition. It is fun for the kids who get to participate, but you shouldn't take too much away from what happens on the floor.

And usually the guys who assert themselves offensively stick out the most in this setting. Aggressive guards or multifaceted aggressive forwards. The shooters and post players usually get lost in the mix.

Listening to Jay Williams didn't help either, man is he awful.

Or listening to Jalen take credit for WWWs nickname. The game was definitely very difficult to watch or listen to

Less than 5 minutes for us. Awful basketball to watch. I'd rather watch a tape of myself playing on Sunday mornings. At least the guys I play with aren't that selfish.

The AAUification of American basketball; either dunk it or bombs away from 3 point range. Nothing in between! It's inbetween where real basketball skills are developed.

I remember back in the 1991 timeframe, seeing the McDonald's all american game that had Chris Webber / Glenn Robinson / etc. Talk about alpha dog dominating performances--one alley oop or offensive rebound slam over a crowd topping the next. It was unbelieveable.

Last night's game barely rates.
