I'm a Patriots fan.  I buy tickets, pay for parking and concessions, buy merchandise, subscribe to a litany of video services... and Bob Kraft makes money from of all of that.

Kraft Sports Group sells sponsorships for the Pats to area businesses and licenses the Patriots mark for commercial purposes.  Bob Kraft makes money from that.

Kraft owns Gillette Stadium and holds concerts and other sporting events there.  Bob Kraft makes money from that.

Kraft developed Patriot Place, a mixed use facility that surrounds Gillette Stadium, where he collects rent from dozens of retailers, restaurants and hotels. Bob Kraft makes money from that.

Kraft uses that revenue to pay his front office staff, coaches and players.
