Existing marketing deals have to get redirected to cover athlete costs and you build in more deals because for the value and rights associated with player appearances, jersey rights, etc.  Most donors and schools should boycott this entire fiasco if I'm being honest. The sooner we get to the point where everyone says, enough, the better off the entire sport will be. And with that, you can go back to a true academic approach for all the non basketball and football sports. They're either employees or they're not. Half and half ends up with a half baked approach and that's the situation we remain in.
