we had a couple of big time road games. the NCAA just told us that big wins away from home are the most important thing you can do. Lets believe them. We have the road game against the BIG 10 team. Home games against G-town and St john's gets us very little.

Tamu and uconn were neutral site wins.

I understand that. And our future win against South Carolina will be as well. Imagine what road wins will do for us?

When is the ACC-B1G schedule announced?

In 2014, the match ups were announced on May 1st.

In 2015, it was May 13th.

Safe to assume we'll have plenty of chances for good road wins in conference. Lots of good teams in the league, and we'll surely play some of them on the road.

It will be nice to actually play some of the best teams at home next year. This year's conference schedule was brutal.

I don't know if there's a formula for the matchups but could this be the pairing with Michigan State that (fortunately) didn't get to happen during this year's tourney? An early season road win at MSU would undoubtedly look good on the resume at year's end.

*As an aside, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. Met a great, fun group from this board at the team hotel last Friday in Houston. Couldn't have been more in my element with all the energy the group brought and how friendly everyone was. And when the night was winding down also had a nice chat with Matt Park and Tim Welsh (who, to his credit but unfortunately wrong, predicted a Cuse win 74-62).

I would love it. Have we ever played them there? We got them in the Dome in 13-14, the NCAA's in '13, Hawaii in '98-99, and MSG in 87-88. I'd love to beat them on their court too, and it's always cool to watch your team play in one of the famous, distinct college hoops arenas. I'd say Indiana and Kansas are the two arenas I haven't watched Cuse play at that I'd like too.

What do you mean?

We already have lost several players:
Kaleb and Chino are transferring, as is our 'best' walk-on, Christian White.

(and as much as people might give that a "meh" response - everyone said he was a bear in practice, and really made our guards better having go against him every day)

And, at the risk of being pedantic, naturally G and Cooney aren't coming back.

So - a large % of this year's team is already not coming back.

And, there's the potential that Mali &/or Lydon might not, but - who knows?
(I'd be shocked if either left, but with how things are these days, that would be the most Syracuse thing to have happen.)

If we play at Indiana I'm going so I can strip down to my Orange undies up in the stands. Payback!

Syracuse 2016-17
Home/Road: Boston College, Pitt, Georgia Tech, Louisville
Home: Florida State, Miami, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia
Road: Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame

That seems somewhat manageable, no?

I meant Malachi coming back, that is my one hope for this team. I figured Kaleb was leaving during the season.

Yes, looks good. Definitely better balanced than this year, where UNC was the only top team we played at home.

I think that's an underrated tough road only schedule. Clemson and VT should be better than this year, and I think VT could have a really, really good season.

Hopefully, we broke through against UVA and will have no issues with them going forward!

Its a lot better than our road schedule this year, it was brutal. I think Gt and Pitt take steps back.

Maybe, but the league is going to be tough every year, there aren't a lot of road gimmes. And we do get BC...
