FSU is a good job right now, and much better now than when Jimbo took it, thanks to Jimbo.  And there are personal factors at the moment for Jimbo now as well.

But FSU fans should not be naive...this time next year, or in 2017, he might be leaving for LSU, Alabama, Texas or the Buccaneers.  There's maybe 3-5 programs that can't have their coach taken by ANYBODY else in college, an even those can have them taken by the NFL.  And there's very strong evidence to suggest that almost all coaches see diminishing returns after 6-8 years in one spot in the current landscape, and I think coaches get that.  I don't think you'll see many guys doing 10+ years anymore at major programs, let alone 15-25 years.

I don't think the timing was right for Jimbo to go right now.  I wouldn't be shocked if he was still at FSU five years from now, but I would be at least somewhat surprised.
