People need to look at system when talking about offensive talent and evaluating the depth chart.  Austin Wilson was actually a solid fit for the Marrone offense, but was a horrendous fit for the other 2 offenses.

We went from:

Run blockers on the OL w/ pro style attack utilizing play action to get WR's open and bruising RB's (Gus Edwards would have been elite here, IMO).

Spread designed to have OL that can get in space and an offense designed to utilize speedy or tall WR's to make plays after the catch

Mix of both OL w/ ability to hold blocks longer (due to misdirection) and designed to try and get playmakers in space (although I will be honest, I have struggled to figure out what this offense tries to scheme - still early for me and obviously hard to evaluate a first year offense w/ so many freshman).

While I liked Marrone, I don't think he is the fit here for now.  While I like Shafer, I don't know if he is the fit here for now.  But I am getting tired of seeing all these emotional threads.
