The present schedule is 100% driven by TV. ESPN has higher ratings for baseball and softball than they do for lacrosse. If we follow this proposed plan, the only NCAA playoff game that will be on TV is the Finals. The semis may be on TV. The other rounds would be stream and ACCN only. And we probably won't get the ACCN because it would be showing baseball and softball. By being on Memorial Day, lacrosse is filling a void for them because the baseball and softball conference championships and NCAAs haven't started and there's not as much interest in the regular season games. That "lacrosse has always loved the military" tie-in to Memorial Day is totally bogus.
