Opinion: Now Is the Time To Reform the NCAA Men's DI Tournament Format

1. There should be a universal start date for practice and games

3. The NCAA Tournament field should be chosen and seeded based on wholly objective criteria, with a formula graduated beyond RPI

1) there is a universal start date for practice and games. some programs for one reason or another (most to benefit their circumstances) choose later ones.
2) not sure why this is a thing. but if it is, no reason given why max should be lowered, and a minimum wouldn't matter. but sure, make one. who cares, does nothing to change anything.
3) i agree. there is no objective formula used year to year, and rpi isn't the best deal.
4) i guarantee terry foy has never played big minutes in a final four, so i read right past this suggestion.

3. Agree, they do need to work on the selection process. But one notes Foy's crying about this after a season where Duke and ND didn't make it.
4. Agree, it would be good to have the semifinal and finals on separate weekends. Let the team's be prepared.

Some good ideas .Its hard to make that many changes all at one time.Weather makes one start time for all hard to achieve.
