next week at home. Hats off to NC State and their QB who has been very good for a while now. When the Wolfpack inserted their redshirt freshman QB it immediately led to an SU defensive touchdown. I liked the way SU competed. I thought Bris made an unfortunate mistake when he was removed from the game, but Ish I'm not so sure. I never saw the video on the NC State player who was removed earlier. SU's defense really struggles playing zone and has for some time and this includes stopping the run. I enjoy watching Cordy and Dowels. Thompson is very solid against the pass, but he needs work against the run. I thought Mahoney was fine at QB especially given his pedigree. That's a great story. Nice to see Fredericks pop one. Bris was solid in the return game. Lewis continues to just make plays. Strickland continues to do some nice things. One more game to put the craft to the test and hopefully get a good result. Go Cuse!!
Go SU women's field hockey!!
Strange day for the SEC. The gap really has narrowed, and I'm not so sure the SEC is that much better top to bottom than the other P5 conferences. Is Florida better than Iowa? I'm sure many people believe so, but it's really hard to make that argument which by now must be mostly rooted in the recent but bygone past. Clemson looks pretty secure. The failed Wolverines punt a few weeks back against Sparty really looms very large now. Great games next week all around. Oklahoma has a shot, but once again you have to wonder about the lack of a conference championship and how that could be a factor. Michigan and Ohio State is fun this year and hopefully for years to come. Notre Dame and Stanford could be a battle. It's hard to believe it took so long to have a football playoff because so far it has been better than the BCS by a factor of infinity.
