For 10 years we've heard "brand, brand, brand" coming from the SU Athletic Department.  And yet we are on our, what, 4th completely different uniform style?  How on Earth is that maintaining a brand?

Here's what I think... I think Doc Gross and his minions first became enamored with the notion that our brand would be "old school".  That's why we started using the block "S" logo, added stripes to the football unis and numbers to the helmets.

Then we got bored with that, realized it was tainted by the stink of the G-Rob era, and went back to the 80s/90s design.

Then Gross and his minions became enamored with becoming Oregon East, and bought into Nike's new age design hook-line-and-sinker.  It all smacks of immature, rudderless leadership.  Which I think we can safely say after the past couple months is an apt way to describe the way the AD has acted in recent times.
