Orange socks

You may remember the bright neon orange socks worn by Cincy in their Big East quarter final game against Georgetown (it was some kind of Addidas promotion). Anyhow, I met Cincy's assistant AD (who happens to be a former SU football player!) at that game, and I told him I liked the socks (especially since they didn't say Cincy or Bearcat on them). He said he would send me a pair.

They arrived this weekend. And they are the most orange anything I have ever seen. Also, they are the only socks I have ever seen that have one marked "L" and the other marked "R" -- showing you which foot to put them on.

So here is my question. If (and this is a big if) we wind up playing Cincy on Saturday, should I wear my Orange Cincy socks to the game. Would it be good Mojo (walking on Cincy) or bad Mojo (wearing part of an opponent's uniform)?

Bad. And the R / L marks are funny, because I bought some Nike socks a couple months ago that had the same thing and I remember thinking how absurd that was.

If you want to wear orange socks, get the ones Dion wears. Well, not those exact socks, because then his sock less feet will have awful blisters.

My guess is that Dion sports some fairly large socks. Joyce is not a fairly large person. Dion's socks could be her sleeping bag.

Wear em if you want. Who cares if Cincy wore them, they're Orange and Cincy does not have any orange in their school colors. Couldn't they make neon red? Don't worry about superstitions, they're silly and have no real impact on the outcome of any game. Let your freak flag fly!

I would wear them to show you have mastery over their possessions, but do not let them touch your skin, and wear them inside out and on the wrong feet to cause eddys in their Adidas fluorescent orange mojo wind tunnel.
