Orange trio earns Academic All-District Honors - Syracuse University Athletics
Three Syracuse student-athletes were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District teams and will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Three Syracuse student-athletes were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District teams and will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Syracuse and Duke are the only ACC programs with three all-district honorees.
Defensive lineman Kingsley Jonathan, placekicker Andre Szmyt and wide receiver Anthony Queeley were honored on the 23-man team from District 1 (Division I (FBS and FCS) schools in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT). The team was selected by position (offense and defense) from a ballot of nominees. In order to be nominated, each player must have over a 3.3 GPA coupled with strong on-field accolades.
