Seems like a weird hire. How much of the D was him vs Smart? He is extremely young. He isn't from the West coast. If I were an Oregon fan I would have preferred Wilcox and hoped he became Chryst.

I agree, weird hire. Very much a shot in the dark. He might end up crushing it there and then he’ll leave in a few years to a HC job in the SEC. But he’s going to need to surround himself with some strong recruiters and coordinators. He’s not going to kill it recruiting by himself.
