...through the first two nights of the ACC/Big10 challenge. Think of it. Syracuse is carrying the ACC banner. Wonder what the boys on Tobacco Road think of that. (Big10 leads 6-2 with six more games tomorrow).

Duke did not look good--gave up lay-ups on defense and just ran side-to-side on offense.

it... let's do it. We are beating Duke this year. Buddy drops 35 and the game winner from half court ala Gillon circa 2017.

He might need 45 to win that. Would be pretty cool if he broke the dome scoring record in a win vs Duke.

What happened to Duke? When I turned that game off they were in complete control.

I was so riled up after the SU game that I actually watched the entire game. I was texting with four Duke fans and was astonished that Duke faltered at the end. They are still a top 5 team, methinks.

I am distressed that the ACC is losing to the Big 10. What the hell, ACC? Does the conference now turn its lonely eyes to ... Syracuse? Ha ha!

Yeah this is a very very bad thing. We could be looking at a much smaller number of ACC teams making the NCAA tournament than in previous years. If this trend continues we could be looking at a 6 bid league. I believe the ACC is somewhere between 6-8th in conference rankings right now by most metrics. Not good.

6 would be unlikely in my view.

5, with 4 being a downside possibility is my guess.

I make these "guestimates" not based on looking at individual teams, but what the league will do for middle of the packs come regular season. And it won't be much because there will be much less Q1 and Q2 wins.

Of course "mix" matters a bit too.

But I always bring up the 2018 Big Ten which had 4 teams make the tourney and a 13-5 team very cleanly get left out. And the 9-9 teams were not particularly close either... could have been out even if they got to 11. The fact that 4 teams dominated hurt a bit.

But they really, really stank OOC in 2018 and that is what happens
