OT: Apparently Shady is still a candidate for his dream job...

If offered, he will gone in a NY minute.

all of the gurus in twitterland are debunking it and saying t was started by 1 guy.

They aren't hiring anybody with any ties at all to that school. They have to go clean break from that whole era. And why would they hire him anyway? He would undoubtedly recruit well there (after all of the smoke clears) but can you imagine him competing with Big 10 level coaches? Talk about a mismatch of epic proportions.

its a no brainer- go to the big10 and make boatloads of cash-or stay in a screwy big least and watch the money dry up because jersy cant afford him anymore-

Not that it matters, but don't 3 of the 4 names mentioned (Munchak, Shady and Tom Clements) have ties to the school?

Shady was the only one there during the Sandusky era. He was a coach under Sandusky for a few years. Would imagine they want to steer clear of that

The guy took a horrible Rutgers program and made in average in a weakened Big East. His record at Rutgers is .50 in spite of scheduling aome of the weakest teams in college football.

He's not a candidate for Penn State. That's ridiculous.

He's going down with the Rutgers ship when they get into Conference USA 2.

We can only how that happens.

Given the history of these far-flung, mis-matched conferences like the Metro (Remember, that one) and the C-USA, how can there be any doubt that this latest attempt will fail.

They believe to or there wouldn't be so much hope that they'll somehow get picked up by the ACC B1G or the Big 12.
