OT: Blake Griffin/LBJ- Dunk of the year

Dunking on Kendrick Perkins is far more impressive. That is just freakish athleticism by both, though

I know its not NBA, but Hal's standing dunk against ND is my favorite pp

I'm torn but I would probably go with Griffin.

Another question. Who is more embarassed? Perkins or Lucas?

I think it's Blake. And Perk has to be more embarrassed. He's a big man, Lucas is a guard. Lebron is almost supposed to be able to jump over him, you know?

Agreed. You're a Center with a nasty streak reputation. No matter what he will always have Blake dunking on him. The facial dunk is the most disrespectful thing you can do in all of sports. If it happens to you, you dont live it down.

The crazy thing about that Blake G. dunk was how hard he was hit by Perkins. If that was kobe getting hit by Perkins, Kobe would have been knocked to the floor and it would have been a flagrant foul. Perkins threw an elbow at Griffin and he still went right through/over him.

Is Blake's even considered a dunk? lol, it was more of a throw in like the one he had on Mozgov last year. Blake's is more disgusting in full speed, but slow motion, I think LeBron's is cooler to watch. Watching Blake's dunk in slow-motion doesn't really look all that impressive. His double clutch dunk where he blew by Pau and then went up and under for the slam on Bynum was disgusting too.

Go play basketball with your 5'11 friend... now try to jump over him. I know Bron is 6'7 and an athletic freak.. but, that's still pretty impressive in my eyes.

add in how easy he makes the ally-oop catch with one hand, then the slam, look.

I hate Lebron but the way he glides around with his size is B E A utiful.

But Griffins dunk is better by far, way too much power for even Perkins to stop

The degree of difficulty on LBJ's dunk is so beyond ridiculous. He makes it look so easy but in the flow of the game he jumped over a human being, caught the ball with one hand in mid-air, and threw it down with ease. Insane.

Has anyone heard the local announcers during the Blake dunk? They just scream like lunatic fans...its awesome!

Yeah, I think I'd take LeBron's over Griffin's simply because I've never really seen anything quite like it. Just saying though, I thought Rudy Fernandez's tip-in at the buzzer was the most impressive play of the week though.

This is so true, I mean it looks effortless so it "appears" less impressive

Lebron's was very, very nice but lets not forget Lucas is only listed at 5'11' and had his back turned. Griffin went straight in a dude that is 6'10" and defending the rim. For me it is Griffin's that is the better dunk and it is not even close.

lucas was also bending way over, shying away from Lebron, not quite 0facing him, etc. griffin's seems easily more impressive to me -- i actually thought LBJ's was overblown when I first clicked through to see it all excited.

Sorry boys, BronBron just caught an Ally-Oop pass while jumping OVER an adult man...in a game situation.

That dunk would've won a dunk contest.

Yeah, we see facial dunks every night in the NBA... how often has someone jumped over the head of a guy like that in an NBA game situation, caught a one handed oop and tossed it down? This is likely the first of its kind.

i have a hard time calling the best dunk of all time when it was barely a dunk...

he basically threw the ball through the hoop with really good accuracy.

There's so many dunks out there that I thought were better than Blake's and that's just with me thinking of some of the highlights of the past couple seasons, much less all-time.

Both incredible. Edge to Griffin. Even better than the one on Mozgov. He was almost outside of the lane when he takes off and Perkins is a big boy! Dunk or no dunk as some posters are scrutinizing; it's still awesome.

He was 5'11", so technically a manlet.
