I'm not one to remember a lot of my dreams but last night I dreamed that I was in Kmart looking for the 20" TV that was advertised for $428 and I ran into Jim Calhoun who was shopping for curtains with his wife. I was surprised since he had a BET game that afternoon and we were playing at night. And even though I had on a Cuse shirt I got last year, the dream took place in the late 80's and Kmart didn't have the TV nor offered up a substitute.

Then I saw Calhoun the following day in the same Kmart and everything was identical and I realized I was having a deja vu moment but I then had a ground hog day moment because I could change my interaction with JC but unfortunately Kmart still didn't have the TV.

Remember the days when you could get a 20” tv for only $428? Good times!

Not a dream analyst but it seems obvious to me you have a deep seated anxiety of missing SU basketball games. Also you haven’t gotten over Calhoun’s (man behind the curtain) shady recruitment practices when he snatched Donyell Marshall away from us. It also appears you long for a simpler era when you could head over to your local K Mart and satisfy all of your shopping needs. Let’s face it, internet shopping has its advantages but you can’t get one of those K Mart hot dogs fresh off the roller when you’re pursuing items on Amazon.

Oh, don't play analyst. Next you or someone else will be telling me that Calhoun and his wife are Mother/Father figures and me not getting the TV is their lack of love. I know I won't dream tonight because I won't be able to sleep. Ha!!!

The fact you were able to change your interaction with Calhoun the next day tells me you have some lucid dream potential. Next time you dream about SU basketball could you do us a favor and win a National Championship for us?

You got the BUG? I had dreams like that when I had COVID.

The worst is when you dream of a big syracuse win and wake up and realize it was just a dream.

Must have been a blue light special in curtains. Kmart always had a good layaway policy too.

Way back in the day I worked for a year at the downtown Syracuse Kmart I think on Salina (?) after high school before going off to college. Then a summer or two later, I worked in the lawn and garden dept at another Syracuse area Kmart and I actually did announce some blue light specials back in lawn and garden. Of course, I jazzed my announcements up, not like the mundane boring blue light announcements most people did. The manager actually came out to where I was after an announcement, and I thought I was in trouble but he didn’t say anything. That’s my claim to fame. Announcing Kmart blue light specials!

So what does my every few years recurring dream about not being able to remember my high school locker combination mean?
I have that same exact locker combination dream fairly regularly. I also have one where it's the end of a semester in college and the final is coming up and I didn't attend a single class the entire time.

THIS

I would guess that a dream expert would ask if I missed a lot of classes in college. I'd probably respond with the ol' well, I wouldn't say I was missing them Bob.

I still get the college final, did not attend class dream myself. Have had it every one in a while for the last 3 decades or so. The dream is much less frequent now but I am pretty sure I will have it even after I retire and have been of college for 5 decades.

Some insights...

I have that same exact dream.

Sometimes there are variations, but based around that same concept. As in, I've already graduated, have a career, etc. but I have to go back and finish something from high school... only I haven't attended class all year.

Or for some reason [even though I went to grad school], I overlooked something from undergrad, so I have to go back. Finals are right about to begin, and I haven't attended class the entire semester.

Haha I have something similar, but with high school. Like something comes up where I missed a credit in high school and have to go back like Van Wilder.
