It is unbelievable to me how ESPN has created their own story about how Tebow might get benched for Brady Quinn. This all stems from Ron Jaworski on Mike & Mike Friday talking about how he "thinks" Tebow could possibly get benched if they fall too far behind and he starts the game badly. Mike & Mike proceeded to talk about it ad nauseum because it generates ratings. Then the evening Sportscenter led off with "Could Tebow be benched" and spent an entire segment on the made up controversy generated by their very own Ron Jaworski on their very own Mike & Mike.

Now they are even interviewing players and the coaches on the possibility. Creating a media firestorm out of NOTHING. It is insane to see how this unfolded and how ESPN is capable of creating their own stories ala The Fine Mess, which we have witnessed firsthand.

Steve Zaban out of DC is the best at calling out ESPN and Sports Illustrated. It was great when he was on in Syracuse. Mike Leach and James is the best example of what can happen when most people get there news from one source who has an agenda.

Another reason why the only time I watch ESPN is when there's a game on. I refuse to watch Sportscenter or any of their talk shows, which there are entirely too many.

Sadly, this seems to be how the media works, not just with sports.

Yeah dont get me started on the PS. I read Eagle and New Times to get a different point of view for Syracuse news.

A lot of the people I cared about watching or listening to on ESPN have or are jumping ship. Jim Rome is the latest. I know he rubs a lot of people the wrong way, but I'm excited for him to be on CBS/Showtime.

Uh, the Fine Mess wasn't created out of nothing.

When I was in college my roommate and I would sit around all morning and watch SportsCenter 2 or 3 times - couldn't get enough of it even though we were watching the same show over and over again. Now, I never watch it and don't feel like I'm missing anything either.

Can't knock ESPN for this one. Brady Quinn DID get half the 1st team snaps in practice this week. Which for an NFL team in the playoffs with a totally healthy starting QB is odd to say the least.

Quinn can deny the report all he wants, everyone under the sun with different sources and multiple sources said it happened. So.

My sources say there is nothing to Quinn getting half the snaps. The reason they gave him half the snaps is because Tebow's arm is tired from throwing the ball so much the last few games :D
