First off, a warm thank you from just another Louisville fan for caring enough to post this. I find it somehow typical, frankly, of the Cuse fans I know. It makes me proud to associate with you guys.
His situation took a backwards step. They had to operate again a day ago to relieve the incredible swelling. Kyle is now in critical condition, although they think the second operation was a relative success. He is still in a coma.
His Dad is an excellent surgeon from Evansville, Indiana and has been with him ever since this surprising life wrinkle began, as has his family, in particular his wife who corresponds with the UofL board with updates. They had just had twins, just to make your tears a little more genuine.
This guy was the heartbeat of UofL basketball, not just a Syracuse-killer, lol. He exists as an absolute giant in the hearts of his fans. 4 years of incredible thrills and love for the organizer of "Kyle's Korner For Kids" as well us other children's greatest advocate.
