OT- Ex Card Kyle Kuric

Not going to lie, I read the title and was hoping he was admitting to having sex with one of Katina's strippers.

Kyle was a real fan favorite around here in his playing days. Such a nice kid. I had no idea about this. Simply terrible! Sure hope it's curable!

Meningioma. These are often benign - usually not cancerous. That said, numerous complications can arise. Hope he comes through relatively unaffected long term.

First off, a warm thank you from just another Louisville fan for caring enough to post this. I find it somehow typical, frankly, of the Cuse fans I know. It makes me proud to associate with you guys.

His situation took a backwards step. They had to operate again a day ago to relieve the incredible swelling. Kyle is now in critical condition, although they think the second operation was a relative success. He is still in a coma.

His Dad is an excellent surgeon from Evansville, Indiana and has been with him ever since this surprising life wrinkle began, as has his family, in particular his wife who corresponds with the UofL board with updates. They had just had twins, just to make your tears a little more genuine.

This guy was the heartbeat of UofL basketball, not just a Syracuse-killer, lol. He exists as an absolute giant in the hearts of his fans. 4 years of incredible thrills and love for the organizer of "Kyle's Korner For Kids" as well us other children's greatest advocate. http://www.kyleskornerforkids.com/

I hate hearing about this stuff. If guys like Kuric, Pearl, back to Ernie Davis can be brought down by this stuff, what chance do the rest of us have. Pulling for the young man!

Very unfortunate setback - but as you suggest the pressure can be relieved and ideally the patient comes through with minimal (if any) long term complications. Sounds like a terrific person and deserving of the praise he's received from the Ville community. Best wishes for an optimal recovery - really. I have to believe if he comes through in solid shape he'll use this experience to educate others and support patients (especially kids) who find themselves faced with similar situations.

Yes indeed, pray for Kyle. Senore is definitely correct in that he is one of the big fan favorites for sure, a great student and great young man. Only 26 yrs old. His family is very appreciative of all the support they have received.
