I believe the BK location had a grill. I saw the smoke and smelled grilled burgers many times waiting for friends outside of gate N, close to where the BK concession stand was. I agree they served burgers cold, but that was because they staged the food way too early, didn't care about quality or customer happiness. They deserve to get booted. I agree there is a need to extend the food and drink available in the Dome, to bring customer service up to the levels competing venues have had for many years. To be fair, they have made some improvements. You can get pulled pork sandwiches, chicken parm sandwiches, sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions, in addition to Dome Dogs and nachos and cheese. The Italian Bistro near section 126 has the chicken parm sandwiches (not great but certainly better than a cold hot dog in a cold wet bun), along with meatball subs and maybe even lasagna. There are a couple of wrap sandwiches available in some of the stands too. Turkey is one. They have soft ice cream too in one or two places. But more choices are needed, more variety is needed, and it would be awesome if they could open up some concourses to give people easier access to get to the locations of the stands they interest them, and give people places to stand and eat/talk without being in the way of others. Link 1 This second link talks about Dome concession options. Don't know why they don't do the Brew and BBQ and Italian Bistro options for football. They just use normal concession stands...anyone know why football fans are shunned? Anyway, I would like to see more specialty concession stands. They need to add some standard items like Philly Cheesesteaks, tacos, burritos, carnitas, Chinese food, a salad place, a sushi place, lobster and shrimp rolls/po boys, BBQ ribs, chicken and brisket (in addition to the pulled pork they have today; this would preferably be from Dino), crab cakes, box frites, more/better pizza options, frozen custard, etc. that everyone in the business has but the Dome. Then add some upstate flavor with things like chicken riggies, Utica greens, Plainville turkey drumsticks, beef on weck, etc. Local brews, other beer choices too (some people like ginger ale too). Any major stadium or arena in the country has far more variety than the Dome does. From reading their links, I think the Dome thinks having a handful of relatively cheap choices gives the people what they want: cheap (bad) food that you don't have to wait for in line for a long time. I think they are completely out of touch with their customers. People want good food, they want lots of choices and if necessary, they will be willing to walk halfway around the Dome, wait in line to get it and pay a higher price for it as well. I sincerely hope someone at the Dome reads this thread or takes the time to poll the people that frequent the Dome. They need to get in touch with their customers. They need to catch up with modern arenas and give Dome fans some decent choices for food and drink. Link 2
