[QUOTE="bnoro, post: 296068, member: 71"] After reading through everyone's ideas I think many of you are understating the difficulty of what needs to be done here. The Dome stands are far too small to really be able to supply these specialty foods, especially those stands on the upper level. There's a reason they don't have pizza up there. Popcorn and Hot Dogs are made in a room underneath the lower bowl because they wouldn't be able to do it in the stands. The specialty items are almost all made ahead of time, how many of you have seen an actual oven/deep fryer in the concession stands? It would be incredible if they could renovate the stands but it would be extremely cost prohibitive. Getting credit card machines would be a great first step, but it is so difficult to slowly upgrade these stands. Dome foam has nothing to do with the pour, the reason it is so foamy, especially on the second deck, is because the beer has to travel through hundreds of feet of tubing to actually get to the taps. This is another reason why craft beers are almost out of the question. I'm sure the updated stands will be directly located over the kegs to counter this problem. Finally, those who say "we should just get a Wegmans" or "we should just get a Dinosaur" need to realize the process that goes into securing contracts and menu items for these companies. MSG took forever to get the deals done with their new restaurants they built on the 6th floor concourse last year and those had a full stand completely retrofitted to their requirements. The Dome has tiny little stands with very little adaptability and i doubt Dinosaur would really want to mass produce their product for concessions. They would have to prepare it outside and bring it in. The pulled pork at the Dome now is just a frozen 5lb bag they heat up before games. Those sandwiches are prepared about 2 hrs before the game.
