Funny memories. In the late 1950's, I was a supermarket check-out girl in Mount Kisco, NY. Nothing was computerized then, so you had to remember the price of everything. The three premium beers were ... Miller, Bud and PBR... which sold for $1.25 a six-pack. The regular price beers were Rheingold, Shafer and Ballantine ... which sold for $1.o9. And the real bad stuff was Gilt Edge ... which sold for 89 cents. I don't think there were any other brands in that Safeway Supermarket.
Why do I remember bizarre stuff like this? I guess I just have a weird brain.
