Easily Jeter. I can't imagine what it was like to be Jeter in NYC during the run of four consecutive world championships. While Leo is extremely popular, I don't think there is anything that he could do that would bring him that kind of adulation.

Jeter is a big deal in the biggest city in America. DiCaprio is major WORLDWIDE. Put Jeter and Leo in Rio or Paris and see who gets the reaction.

Jeter HAS to retire at 39-ish. Leo could, but doesn't have to and doesn't want to.

Athletes have sinister travel schedules. Actors hang out in custom Winnebagos, shoot in exotic locales, contribute creatively, can't be traded, don't have to rehab injuries, don't have to play nice with douchebag teammates... Actors get better with age.

That said, i'm not very fond of either of these people. If it were Clooney versus Jeter, i'd be Clooney.
