I’m getting tired of his shtick. Over exaggerates everything. Just now his introduction of the teams is over the top.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was also serving as the in-stadium PA announcer there. So the over-the-top broadcast announcement was only because he was announcing the teams to the field for the crowd. If he wasn't, then I'd agree, but what he did there was no different than any home PA announcer at a college football game.

I've felt this way for forever. Cries wolf on nearly every play and leaves nothing special for the truly special plays.

If you’re a Knicks fan you hate Gus Johnson. Cant stand hearing his voice either. Nothing worse than during the Marbury years; with 2 minutes left in the game, knicks down by 28, playing against the opponents backups and Marbury drives to the basket and scored inside while no defender is even trying. Then to hear Gus go crazy like it’s the greatest thing he’s ever seen in his lifetime. To have to listen to that through the entire Marbury years was excruciating.

the only thing worse than that echoing through our heads has been watching that doofus Tom Brennan live off of a 13 over 4 upset for 15 years. There have been bigger upsets, like, every year including that same year and yet somehow Brennan and his poor man’s Jim Valvano schtick has prospered like he won the title

Amen! I absolutely loved those 3 together on Big Monday. It could have been intramural teams and I'd tune in. You could tell the 3 of them absolutely loved working together. They were insightful, quick witted, funny and entertaining. Wish Raf would come back and they could team them up again.

I think Raft likes doing the Big East games too much to come back. The Big East on Big Monday with Raft was the best.
