OT: Happy 200th Birthday to my Hometown

Many other cities are more beautiful, have less crime, better weather, more optimistic people, more amenities, less potholes, etc. but it's still the place on Earth I feel most at ease.

Happy birthday, Syracuse! Our swampy outpost of a few hundred people became a village 200 years ago

A lot of people try and drag Syracuse (the entirety) through the mud whenever they can.

It may not be the prettiest city, or the most bussin (sorry old timers) place to be...but I love it.

Beautiful springs and summers, lots of leaves to rake in the fall, snow to plow and complain about. It's all here for us locals to enjoy and whine about.

Haven’t lived there for 40 years but have always loved visiting during the Fall for a game or two. Thank God a university can’t relocate.
