I was just browsing on Netflix looking for something new to watch when I came across this title. I ended up watching it. Very enlightening, as well as presenting a very objective (IMHO) documentary concerning the whole Sandusky-Paterno-PSU travesty. Well worth watching.

i saw that it was on netflix, could not bring myself to watch it----i never could stand the arrogant paterno even before the sadusky issue. i believe that as small as the state college is, the whole town probably knew the issue, participated in the cover up by way of neglect and supported its continuance by inaction. i still wonder what happened to the prosecutor(?) who disappeared along with his hard drive.

What did you learn?

1. Abuse was known by Paterno and PSU officials long before the news broke in 2011.

2. Sandusky's adopted son was going to testify against him.

3. Some PSU fans actually supported getting rid of JoePa.

The above facts were probably readily apparent during the investigation, trial, and subsequent fall out, but were overshadowed, at least for me, by the over-saturation of news reports during that time period.

Having just finished season two of True Detective - the PSU travesty would make a great season 3 plot. Local political hacks, deviant six-ual proclivities, and massive corruption to coverup horrific sexual abuse to protect a cash cow.

I watched it and posted about it, I was and still am very surprised at the lack of attention this film received. Very strange.

Probably because no one wants to watch it. The whole story is horrifying enough. I have no interest in seeing it. I'd just rather pretend State College, PA was donated to another country.

It was depressing, I guess its the history teacher in me, I believe the we need to revisit the horrible mistakes we make lest it happens again. (BY we I am admitting that the PSU community is p[art of the United States )

Edmund Burke: "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it."

I hear what you guys are saying, but we're talking about a major cover up of child rape. What are we going to learn from that documentary that ensures it won't happen again?

Penn State's penalty was reduced, which I thought was a terrible message.

Until we can get rid of monsters and the immoral people that enable them for their own self interest, I don't know what else to do other than pray.

I watched it as well.

JoePa failed to protect children when they needed protection and a voice to speak on their behalf. There aren't many greater sins in my book.

him and program.

I still cannot believe they hired James Franklin, with his history, after all of this.
