Syracuse basketball program sends Orange shoes, clothing to Houston flood victims

Sorry if link is already posted but I was wondering if anyone has any connections with Manny's or Holy Shirt or other apparel retailers where we could set up a grass roots effort and, as fans, buy a piece of apparel for those affected. Ideas?

Best way to help those affected by Harvey... is to donate to Americares. It is by far the most "efficient" of any relief agency in the US. More than 97 percent of funds go directly to helping those in need.

(I am somewhat of an expert on relief organizations as a result of my experience while heading a large, corporate foundation).

Americares is a good one. We like Salvation Army or Samaritans Purse as well. All three organizations are very good with little administrative costs.

Red Cross gets all the PR but they use a sizable chunk of their donations for admin.
