This is a really interesting article. It's about how home court advantage in the NBA right now means less than any time in league history. And it offers some theories why:

Theory 1: The NBA is more 3-point heavy, less dependent on referees
Theory 2: Technology has allowed teams to handle the road better
Theory 3: Home crowds are no longer the sixth man

I think Theory 1 is the major reason...There's a book called Scorecasting you may enjoy. It's in the Moneyball, Freakonomics mold.

I like 1 a lot. I'd like to see how long this trend continues, but that is one i can really buy

Amazing thought: Actually review every whistle, grade it and give feed back to the referees. How did anyone ever come up with this brilliant yet sensible idea? They know what you are expecting and they know that you their employer knows how they are performing. What a shocking revelation that since the NBA has overhauled their system with referees, started analyzing and also grading them that scoring has gone up and the game is once again about ball movement, player movement and shooting.

Please for the love of college basketball let the NCAA follow suit!!!! :bang: :bang:
