One of the more intriguing subplots at the 2015 NFL Combine -- at least from a college perspective -- was this question: With eight players participating in Indy over the weekend and many of them projected to go among the top 50 picks, how did Miami still finish the 2014 season with a sub-.500 record?

"They had one of the best running backs in college football (Duke Johnson); the best tight end (Clive Walford); the fastest wideout (Phillip Dorsett); one of the best O-linemen (Ereck Flowers); one of the top linebackers (Denzel Perryman); and the guy who was the most impressive player at the East-West game (DE Anthony Chickillo), and I know they got a young QB that's a stud too (freshman Brad Kaaya)," one long-time NFL scout told FOX Sports in Indy. "They had more front-line talent than half the teams in the SEC. They didn't have as much talent as Florida State, but they were still pretty loaded. How does that team not win at least nine games in that league?"

I still can't comprehend how Phillip Dorsett is a top 3 wide receiver. My money is on him falling into the Darius Heyward-Bey/insert annual combine speedster bust.

"in that league" - maybe that league is better than you and everyone else thinks. Sheesh.

they were top 15 in yards per play on both sides of the ball. you do that, you should be great

it's baffling

"Man Buzz, you were right. This shirt and tie really brings some class to the sidelines, thanks for the suggestion."

105th in red zone conversions on offense, 78th on defense

as offense takes over and everyone moves the ball at will, red zone td% is going to be the most important stat

we will cross that bridge when we get there...

how can you be so good in yards per play and so bad at 3rd down conversions (37% ranked 95th). their play calling had to be very weird

This thread made me ask something, and maybe this isn't the thread for it. But, if Augustus Edwards signs with us, does it hurt our chances with Robert Washington?
