OT - Interesting hoops tradition at Taylor University

Taylor University in Upland, Ind., continued a unique tradition on Friday night.

On the Friday before final exams, fans at the school's basketball game watch in total silence until the 10th point is scored. When they do score the 10th point, well, bedlam ensues.

We did that Saturdurday night at our high school game. They called it Silent Night and the school had sent out tweets to the student body and the word spread throughout the crowd. It didn't work quite as well as your video but was still cool. The funniest thing was watching the opposing fans who had no idea why we weren't going nuts as we raced out to 9-2 lead and then they called time out. Some of the kdis just couldn't stay quiet but then the 10th point came on a FT and they went nuts. Even the kid shooting free throws looked over with a What look at the student section.

Saw that. About 3 and a half minutes in they start singing, in unison, Silent Night, Holy Night. LMAO. Love some of their costumes too. Gumby, Best Buy employees, The Hulk. These kids are great.
