Well, we offered a NJ kid. Rutgers offer coming in 3...2...1...Offers from CMU, UVA, WVU, William & Mary, Syracuse
The Dohn effectWith 3 big ten wins Shady has NJ kids believing they can win with him there. Plus they ace recruiter Fran Brown. Just have him a raise to keep him there. I have to give shady props for now. Their recruiting class is outstanding but this trend won’t last after a couple years of mediocre seasons. Btw this Allen kid has one the the most mediocre films I’ve seen for a 4 star #1 player in NJ. Wasnt dominant. Lots a stalemates
Because Dino in not from NY and NY doesn’t have a quarter of the amount of top end prospects NJ has. Shady hired a good group of recruiters who are former head coaches in the NJ and Philly areas. Fran Brown is killin it. If we had him we would have a couple 4 stars from those areas as well. Shady has a great reputation in NJ. He’s always been a good recruiter. He’s an average coach. But he gets kids from their because he’s the only guy to make rutty respectable. Going 6-6 in the Big ten is like God to new jerseyansWatch out for Rutgers moving forward for Shady will do whatever it takes to win and I think he is on target. Why can’t Dino get 4-star recruits and not one or two every few years?
I'm going to assume that he has picked up some other offers since CL's January post, given that he is "the top ranked player in NJ".Because Dino in not from NY and NY doesn’t have a quarter of the amount of top end prospects NJ has. What do you mean? I didn’t mention anything about offersI'm going to assume that he has picked up some other offers since CL's January post, given that he is "the top ranked player in NJ".
I replied to your post out of expedience. Needed somewhere to butt in. Sorry for the confusion! What do you mean? I didn’t mention anything about offers
I updated his offer list. Considering who has offered him he must really want to stay in NJ or...I won't even say what I think.I'm going to assume that he has picked up some other offers since CL's January post, given that he is "the top ranked player in NJ".
Do you mean on field incidents? Like players diving at knees in victory formation?A quick question without looking to flame or get in return
I see Greg is referred to as shady, is there an incident or incidents you can point out that show him being out of line
No, in general people don't like him because he does a better job at recruiting than we do.A quick question without looking to flame or get in return

Not sure why you assume it’s just that. There’s people here that actually dealt with him in this forum. I’m not going to talk too much about coaching stuff but I will tell you that Marrone’s staff had a problem with him negative recruiting them. It got so bad that Bob Casullo mentioned it during a coaching clinic. That’s just one of many things he’s done to try to keep rutgers relevant. No, in general people don't like him because he does a better job at recruiting than we do.
The play you are referring to was an attempt to get to the qb, which actually succeeded and the qb fell backwardsDo you mean on field incidents? Like players diving at knees in victory formation?
Or do you mean off-field, recruiting stuff? Like wasting NJ tax payer dollars on helicopter rentals, or over-the-top negative recruiting, or having national recruiting writers inflate prospect ratings when they commit to RU?
Question. Why are you on an su forum if you are not a fan?Based that on “Good luck with your season.”The play you are referring to was an attempt to get to the qb, which actually succeeded and the qb fell backwards
If he would have fumbled it would have been a smart move when all looked lost...not so much diving at the knees, it was to reach the qb
The rest of the things you mention can be argued point by point, but not worth your time and effort
Good luck with your season
