What a story !!!

Amare out - Melo hurt - Tyson on the bench w foul trouble most of the way - what were the Knicks chances ????

Lin 28 & 8 (should have been at least 12 assist if various Knick players could catch & make lay-ups).

Clutch as well - a huge three w the clock running down to pretty much ice the game.

If this kid is real, the Knicks might just yet make a serious run !!

He's a cool story. Dude had no scholarship offers out of high school. Got admitted to an ivy league school with no scholarship. Then went undrafted after being Ivy League all conference player in his junior and senior years. Worked his way up in training camps to make it to the pros.

No one ever believed he can play at a college level, let alone in the the NBA.

I loved watching that game. Oh wait...stupid Time Warner/MSG
Tell me about it...I subscribed to Dish network a couple of years ago mainly for msg and the Knicks and they (Dish) dropped msg because of a contract dispute I believe. Dish claimed msg wanted crazy money compared to other networks. Can understand why the Knicks suck with the way they manage the team business.

I remember watching him outplay John Wall in a summer league game a few years ago. Was hoping he would get a real shot somewhere to prove his worth. Good thing it's with the Knicks and these last two games have been really enjoyable to watch. Lin already has the MSG crowd chanting MVP MVP lol

I haven't seen the Knicks move the ball and play spirited defense like that all season long. Amazing what a little effort can do... and when everyone touches the ball, everyone is interested.

The best part is he doesnt look like a fluke at all. Dude is legit. The scoring is a bonus and will go down especially when Melo/Amare come back, but he played just as well against NJ with both of them in the game and also against Boston in his limited minutes. He is a leader out there. The play on the break where he waved off Shumpert and got the ball to Novak who was on fire was awesome. He is quick, great vision, passing and has sick handle along with solid defense. I wouldn't be suprised if he challenges Baron Davis for the starting spot when/if Baron gets healthy.

Here's hoping the Knicks can pull a Jeremy Lin part 2 and "free Jonny Flynn"!

If Lin is not a fluke & can keep playing at anywhere near the level of the last two games, it will be hard to see Baron wresting the PG job from him.

The MSG/ Time Warner deal has been ing brutal.. B-R-U-T-A-L. Not watching the knicks sucks

What was D'Antoni inferring last night when he said this after being asked about coaching without his stars, "It's fun, you can actually draw a play up and (say), this might work," D'Antoni said. "So it was good."

Is he saying that Melo and Amare go off script and call their own number too often?

Yeah, he played great, but that's just one more story in this years sad NBA season. With the condensed schedules, all the back to back, a lot of players tired and nursing injuries, you will see guys like Jeremy Lin get legitimate shots. He has shown flashes of brilliance before, but you might as well talk about Steve Novak as well. The guys barely gets off the bench and he scored 19 last night.

If teams don't come to play, they will get beat. I don't know the stats, but I would wager that more underdogs have won in the NBA this season than in a normal year.

Great game for Lin, but I'm not sure he is ready to have his jersey raised to the rafters yet.

Must've been what he was saying. Kinda surprised he said that.

Not only that, but I'm a Rangers fan too, and they are having one of their best years in a long time, and I can't watch. :bang:

If Lin can do this...Rautins probably would have gone for 40,15 and 12 last night. He was just in the NBA during the wrong season!

Pre-Lin watching the Knicks was much worse than not watching the Knicks...

Out west, I only get the national games anyways.

Actually speaking of triple doubles, Lin also had eight turnovers, so he was close.

Yea, he needs to work on that but I think he was also dead tired. He played 45 minutes last night and all those turnovers were in the second half.

When Melo is back...they are going to still throw him the ball 30 times per game and let him operate on the wing for 14 seconds at a time. Everything will be back to normal.

They all played against the Nets and Lin was just as effective. As was he in Boston. Melo is definately going to have to adapt though. Primary offense should be pick n roll with Lin/Amare/Chandler, second option get the ball to Melo in his spot, third option kick it to a shooter (using term loosely with this team) fourth option and last resort Melo iso. Melo iso could be deadly if Melo passed out of it (which he is getting better at) and more importantly we actually hit shots. My dream scenario is we trade TD etc for Flynn since Houston turned down Balkman/Bibby and we sign JR Smith. We still need that player to put out there end of game who can hit shots when teams like Boston triple team Melo. Baron will also help.

Baron
Fields
Melo
Amare
Chandler

Lin
JR Smith
Shumpert
Novak
JJ

Harrelson
Walker
Flynn

Ill go to war with that team against anyone.

What problem is Jonny Flynn going to solve? Lin/Douglass and Davis are all better... Flynn would never see the court.

Lin also looks like one of the best finishers in the lane in the NBA. The last few games he has made some incredible drives and impossibly layups, many of them while being fouled.

Big if, but if Lin continues to play this well, he will start ahead of Baron. D'Antoni would get absolutely crucified if he took Lin out of the starting lineup unless he tapers off.

JR would be a nice piece at this point in time, but there is no question he is a wildly inconsistant player & it will be a challenge to keep him from losing a game for each game he helps win. If he could be harnessed properly he is definitely loaded with talent.

I do not see the need for Jonny. At this point in his career Jonny is damaged goods & has not been the same player post-injury. One wounded backup PG is enough. Assuming Baron gets to the court a third PG is unnecessary.

Forgetting the moves, it would simply be nice to see how the current group plays together if they could all be healthy for say a ten game stretch.

I should have prefaced that by saying i just want Flynn because of the Cuse connection. That being said there is no way Flynn could be worse than TD.

Jonny is shooting 26% from the floor this year. He has been even worse than TD. Thats almost hard to do. He has a lower rating as well.

Think D'Antoni has enough sense to keep playing him? Some of his coaching decisions lack any logic or sense.
