This, in my opinion, is the kind of thing people should be arrested for. Needlessly putting the lives of innocents around you at risk. I see it everyday on the roads. Makes me crazy.
I would agree. That's a little more than just "sorry officer didn't realize how fast I was going."

I don’t know. It was only 85 mph over the limit. Boys will be boys. Amiright!? Or amiright?

I’m sorry but you should be in jail if you drive like an azzhole to that extent. Cars are death machines that almost everyone, including myself, is way too comfortable driving.
Speeders aren't just thugs from Pitt with money (temporarily). They're all over the place ... with encouragement from the automotive industry ("devil on your shoulder"). AH's drive through our subdivision - with a 25 mph limit and kids all over the place - at 40+. It's all about "me". SMH.

What’s a AH?

Sorry officer, I usually keep it on the km/h setting.

Ever accidentally, unknowingly switch that on the highway? Brief moment of panic.
When at SU, we took a “mandatory” field trip to Toronto. All out of pocket AND we had to cover the professor’s hotel. I got stuck with the professor in my car and he was every bit the PITA I expected him to be. He insisted on stopping at every hole in the wall book store on the way, freaked out about our speed, and required no music in the car so he could fall asleep. I obliged that so we didn’t have to make any more painful stops and maybe ease above 55. He woke up as we are just into Canada and immediately asked how fast we are going. I told him 110, let that linger as I enjoyed the panic on his face, then said “Kilometers per hour” (about 65 for those keeping track)

I live on a 30 mph Main Street in a small village and people are constantly flying by 40-50+. It’s so ridiculously selfish.

Jeremiah Collins, an 18-year-old defensive back, was driving too fast while exiting a highway and his pickup truck rolled several times before coming to rest in a grassy area, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said in a news release.

At first I thought big deal. I was just doing 85 on 90 before I realized it and slowed down. I thought the comments were a little harsh so I re-read and saw it was 85 OVER the speed limit! That's a little more criminal. Or a lot more. Not a good look for a new millionaire in a new city. Might be time for the young man to learn how to spend his money without a driver's license for a while.
