Do we turn it around tonight against Boston? Got the Nets tomorrow, could get a little winning streak going.

Just have to stay afloat. Looks like we could be going into the second half of the season with a lineup of Baron/JR Smith/Melo/Amare/Chandler. Recent reports have the Knicks targeting JR Smith. He could give us some much needed 3 point shooting, while Baron obviously improves the dreadful pg play. Also moves guys to the bench where they belong and helps us in that area.

One can hope.....

The Knicks dont need another mouth to feed on offense. They need a distributor and more importantly...someone who wants to play defense and get stops every now and then.

We need someone who can shoot. We are 24th in 3 point shooting. JR Smith and Baron will help with that alot. Put me in the camp that knows the baggage JR comes with, but also thinks we need him.

Please fire D'Antoni. I havent been screaming for this all year like some people but hes a joke. Toney Douglas comes in when Lin played better in the first half, up 9...takes TD out tied. Im so sick of this guy.

they could fire d'antoni and the knicks would still suck. they played a team tonight whose players' average age is 49.

They had it rolling until D'Antoni in his infinite wisdom decided to put in TD when Lin played better than TD has all season in the first half. What happened when TD came in? Missed all his shots, no penetration, no offense...comes in up 9, leaves tied. The Knicks are playing better but they're still losing and im sorry D'Antoni is not the coach for this team.

Melo just doesnt seem to be that superstar of stars that wills his team. I thought he was going to come to NY and absolutely light it up. He doesn't seem to make anyone better.

In his defense aside from Amare and Chandler, hes playing with a bunch of bums...and thats putting in gently. Notice when Lebron, Durant, Rose, Kobe break down the defense or get doubled and they pass it to the open man, that open man hits the shot more often than not. Somehow the Knicks have the only NBA players incapable of making a wide open shot. Last night down the stretch, game on the line Iman Shumpert bricks a wide open three and then Landry Fields airballs another wide open three as Boston triple teamed Melo. There is not one good shooter on the roster and that is killing the team just as much as no point guard.

The Knicks are playing better but the losses are still racking up. A lineup of Baron/JR Smith/Melo/Amare/Chandler while putting Fields/Shumpert as bench players which is what they are will make them a very formidable team, hopefully by then the damage isnt too much to overcome.

gotta get rid of that clown, take the last play of last night for example,

5 seconds left, let put in Novak who hasnt played in two weeks and give him the ball, in the corner, guarded by one of the great defenders of all time, with no movement around him.

Melo or Amare need the ball and need to be moving towards the basket there to tie and maybe pick up a foul (haha right like they call fouls on Boston).

I think this is a lot like Miami last year though only magnified due to no training camp and a lack of transition offense, meaning the gameplay of the stars are so similar they each have to adjust to make it work, which I think will happen.

In a scary way, maybe scary good even, this is so much like the 99 season where they snuck into the postseason and made the finals, lockout, slow start, new teamates with loads of talent who cant play off of each other, calling for the coaches head all year, got an 8 seed when expected in the 3-6 at start of year

IMO they are both losses, and I know the Bulls were injury plagued, but the ball movement, spacing and offense are improving, and losing by two on the road on the second night of a back to back against the suddenly hot celtics? that loss doesnt bother me as much, but when its 11 of 13 something needs to be done

and if pierce doesnt make a few miracle bail out shots we win

I'll be at MSG tonight for the Knicks game. If they can't beat the Nets, there will be blood. They're playing well, just need to finish games.

If they lose to the Nets I could honestly see Pringles fired tomorrow. Super Bowl will take the heat off, let Woodson interim coach until we hopefully can get Phil Jackson or at least someone competent. I almost broke my tv when he put Toney Douglas in over Lin in the second half. What happened? Exactly what every Knicks fan knew would happen...no movement, no penetration, just a bunch of jumpshots and just like that its a tie game after TD came in with a 9 point lead.

Big difference last night is that the Celtics actually field an NBA team with a shooting guard who is able to actually shoot, novel concept I know. You knew Ray Allen would hit those end of game shots. Melo played spectacular imo, but when you have 2 WIDE OPEN looks at the end of the game and Shumpert/Fields arent even remotely close theres a problem. I cant see how anyone could be against signing JR Smith. We need that guy badly, especially if Baron is going to be injury plagued all year. JR Smith is the only guy available who can create his own shot and shoot the 3 ball.

agreed on JR and believe it or not he can actually drive and finish hard around the rim.

They lose by two, how bout fields not missing a breakaway layup, too early on.
And I actually am rooting for a loss tonight because I want D'antoni gone so bad. It's not all his fault but he does nothing to adjust whatsoever and its resulted in losing 11 of 13. (I say that but I cannot under any circumstance wish for "my" teams to lose)

I do see marked improvement in ball movement etc.. the last two games and it has resulted in close losses to very good teams with established chemistry, I think if they make the postseason they are a team no one will want to play especially Miami, Melo seems to have Lebrons number

The Knicks are toast. That loss last night will end their season. Trust me.

if some of the knicks stars arent happy now about getting enough touches..a potential starting line up that would include baron and jr is not a good remedy

The guard play, especially PG, is awful. There's no offensive flow because the PG play is so bad. TD is not a PG. He's an undersized shooting guard. It seems that Amare and Melo just don't mesh well together. But it's hard to draw a conclusion on that until you see them play with a decent PG.

i dont think anyone is complaining about touches, just the game isnt flowing between them, again last two games looked better albeit they lost

I tend to think the lack of preseason/training camps had a lot to do with it
