Anyone have any idea how long I should wait to see if Knicks ticket prices start dropping after Melo announced he's done for the year? My youngest son is playing at Carnegie Hall next month and I was planning on taking the family to see a game at the mecca of basketball while in town. It's my kids first trip to NYC and both are SU and Knicks fans and very disappointed that Melo will not be there as am I. But MSG is still MSG and fortunately the Knicks are playing the Clippers (maybe without Blake Griffin of course) on our only free night. Just curious since I would think demand would go down. Also am I better off with scalpers or the secondary ticket markets like Stub Hub? Thanks in advance.

I have not used scalpers in a long, long time. Stubhub only for me. Peace of mind.

Used to be lots of problems with fakes. Not sure if that is still the case.

That is awesome that he is playing Carnegie Hall.

How old is he and what does he play?

I agree. Forget about scalpers. Even tix that look legit ... may not scan electronically.

I suspect more people will want to dump tickets as the Knicks' miserable season stumbles further into oblivion. Check stubhub a week or so before you want to see a game.

stubhub is way to go.

and if you play the game correctly, you check it a few times daily.

since you have an actual game and likely will be traveling here, i wouldnt come here without tickets printed or in your email, in other words...dont get too cute.

find what you are happy with, buy em...and dont look at stubhub again.

Buy em on Stubhub, sell 'em, and keep trying to trade up! It's online gambling, nonstop fun...and you end up at the game either way!

He is 15 years old and plays the viola. His high school orchestra is performing at an invitational. Great experience for him. I kind of feel for the teachers though, 80+ high school students bussing it from Cincinnati and then staying at a hotel for 3 days. Its definitley one of those once in a lifetime opportunities.

Very cool. Enjoy.

Carnegie Hall, not too shabby...These days I'd rather be on that bus than watch the Knicks play;)
