The hate for Dallas cracks me up but admittedly there are too many dopey bandwagon fans.. Jerry Jones etc. As the rule is written for the CJ rule the call makes no sense. Part of the ball touched the ground and it came loose as he had rolled over. But the rule specifically states its incomplete if the ball touches the ground again. Thus in this case it did not. In addition he had control going to the ground and had the front of his hand under the ball so its not as though he "trapped" the ball to help him catch it. If he had been out of bounds when the ball came loose it is not a catch. Even more than the fact the rule doesn't match the call is the fact that all year the officials have been calling it as it was on the field unless there is zero doubt. So outside of trying to fit the rule to the call vs the opposite it makes no sense beyond an effort to undo last week's debacle. As a cowboys fan talking to a bunch of rival fans its like the far right vs the far left I realize that. Objectively speaking the Cowboys beat the lions fair and square. The Lions squandered their lead and failed to put Dallas away. All the same the Packers beat the cowboys fair and square. Dallas failed to jump on a Cobbs fumble, Peppers stole a TD run with a good defensive play and Rodgers had an incredible drive throwing the whole arsenal at Dallas to get the lead. If Bryant's play is called correctly Green Bay still has a ton of time with a maximum field goal deficit to tie or win it which looked likely given how good Rodgers was playing in the 4th. Dallas is not irrelevant fellas no matter how much your star hating lenses want them to be. Solid line, good qb and improving defense. If not for the head to head tiebreaker falling behind NFC record Dallas would have been playing at home in this past game anyways. So as a Cowboys fan it is fun to relish in the hatred and have something to cheer about for the first time in 20 years.
