OT: Maryland benefiting from UA relationship...

Must be nice. For a long time Maryland has been seen as a sleeping giant and that's never come to pass truly. Wonder how this will impact them in the B10?

Weird thing is, back when Fridge started breathing some serious life into that program, that was also when all the UA promotion started for them. I remember they had a pretty cool commercial that was national, with Fridge screaming we must protect this house during what they staged as a pregame speech. I just remember thinking, this is going to get bigger, and being jealous that they had all that backing from a successful alum in the right spot.

Then it all sort of fell apart for them.

I just thought they were going to take off like, say, VT did in the 90s, and turn into a consistent regional power. 6 in 10 would be welcome for us, but when they started the whole UA movement and Fridge had them in the Orange Bowl?
