OT: Maryland benefiting from UA relationship...

Go ahead Maryland... Oregon is winning tons of championships with the help of Nike..Oh wait. Maryland will forever be the 10a to Rutgers 10B in the "big10"

Yeah they will be on probation soon enough. Just wait, some kid will get hurt using their on fied testing products and sues them for big money as they claim were not tested properly before use.

Wait, using and giving them superior no grabbing uniforms over other teams will not fly to the other programs who play them.

Really? I think Oregon is pretty darn happy with the results of their relationship with Uncle Phil.

If Maryland gets half as much benefit they'll also be pretty darn happy.

Keep it here, but they are also working on a new compound that defies the laws of physics, it's called flubber. But you didn't hear that from me.

Oregon has been to the BCS/Playoff 5 out of the past 6 years, and came 3 points from winning a national title in 2010.

Clearly they suck.

2nd place is first loser. lol

Someone has to realize that my statement was half joking. Obviously getting unlimited amounts of money is amazing for any program lucky enough to be involved.

Must be nice. For a long time Maryland has been seen as a sleeping giant and that's never come to pass truly. Wonder how this will impact them in the B10?

Townie72 any thoughts on this?

Weird thing is, back when Fridge started breathing some serious life into that program, that was also when all the UA promotion started for them. I remember they had a pretty cool commercial that was national, with Fridge screaming we must protect this house during what they staged as a pregame speech. I just remember thinking, this is going to get bigger, and being jealous that they had all that backing from a successful alum in the right spot.

Then it all sort of fell apart for them.

And yet, over the past 10 years they've had 6 winning seasons and 6 bowl appearances.

We're at 3/3 for those scoring at home.

Perfect case of "too much money, bad leadership"...

I'm just thankful they left the ACC. They're going to be very tough for us to beat on the recruiting trail

We must need Russel athletic to get us some wins.

I wasn't meaning to compare us to them. I just thought they were going to take off like, say, VT did in the 90s, and turn into a consistent regional power. 6 in 10 would be welcome for us, but when they started the whole UA movement and Fridge had them in the Orange Bowl? At that point, 6 out of 10 would seem like a disappointment. Especially with a couple 2-10s and a 4-8 mixed in there.

We have a whole other set of problems.

What's the stock market ticker code? I have $44,000 in cash

Seriously, didn't the NCAA banned tear away jerseys years ago? How would a no grip jersey play out?

Oh, I get it. Just find it funny when people are running them down here. As if they wouldn't trade our past 15 years for theirs.
