As to if it’s spinal related or cardiac related, etc. with the A B C’s of assessment (airway, breathing, circulation), because if you figure wrong conclude it’s heart and start moving them to position them for care and/or vigorously take off their equipment to do same, if it’s a spinal deal and not cardiac you could make things worse, much worse.

In my 30+ years in doctor world I’ve been the first dr. Type on the scene several times now and although you dial in and focus at the time of need, the stress associated with it all is off the charts, during but especially especially after., right after then later just hoping you were able to help, not hurt and did the right thing.

Hard to adequately find the words to get that point made.  So I really hope when the time comes for him to walk back on the field in whatever capacity it is, that right next to him waking out there with him will be the amazing dudes that saved his life.
