The storied football program at Denver's Mullen High School was spinning out of control under then-coach Dave Logan, with lax oversight by an administration that has since taken corrective steps, according to a review commissioned by the school.
The Catholic college-preparatory school on Friday alerted the Colorado High School Activities Association of several possible rules violations that took place on Logan's watch, said sources familiar with a Mullen briefing to staff and others.
Among the potentially problematic issues: improper player recruitment, misrepresentations about tuition obligations and unauthorized fundraising.
The potential transgressions involve assistant coaches during Logan's nine-year tenure at Mullen, which included a run of four state championships and ended with his firing in January.

Tim Green ... to a much further extreme
Umm...No, not what so ever actually. If you read into the accusations, they are anything but serious as far as what most would consider serious. There are a lot of politics and underlying agenda's in play here. The Denver Post for whatever reason chose to sensationalize the story by writing the way over stated "spinning out of control" headline.
One underlying story is, Ryan Clement, who was a qb at Mullen and went on to the U as a qb, has come back to Mullen as president and CEO. He wanted to be the qb coach under Dave Logan, and Logan said no. So Clement 'took his ball and went home' in firing Logan. After a huge and very public outcry over Logan being fired, and Logan becoming the head coach of Cherry Creek High the cross town rival of Mullen, Clement realized he screwed up. So he hired a law firm to dig dirt on Logan.
When you pay a law firm $1,000+/hr they will find dirt. Therefore the weak accusations, to which some say the high school governing body (CHSAA) already looked into some of the accusations a while back and found nothing.
To steal a great phrase that someone told me, Clement tried to aim after he shot. Logan has coached many high schools here in Denver over the years and never one time has any accusations come up. He is one of the most respected personalities in Denver and a hometown guy, that had a very successful 10 year NFL career. There's probably the only parallel with Tim Green.
I see it like the majority out here do, and that's as a smear campaign.

Agreed Lo
