One of the best annual college sporting events is held today at 2pm, Indiana University's Little 500 race. It can be seen on AXis Tv (formerly HDNet) directv channel 340.
Putting aside any distaste for IU for a moment, this event is amazing, and its the only bikerace of its kind in the world. Basically it's bike racing on a tiny track with Indy car rules (pit stops, flags, wrecks, etc). If you've seen the movie "Breaking Away," It's the race seen in the climax of that film.
I highly recommend checking it out. As a sports fan, it's one of the more exciting events on the sports calendar. You should check it out.
