OT: Neil Olshey, Lemoyne grad, named GM of the Trailblazers

He was serving as the Clippers GM for all of last season without a contract, almost like a consultant. Portland probably offered him a better deal and possibly more stability.

Interesting couple of sidenotes on Neil:
1.) He was a 4 year letter-winner on the Men's Lacrosse team at Le Moyne
2.) After college, he wanted to be an actor. Went to NYC to pursue this and actually landed some soap opera roles and commercial shoots. Went to LA to continue his acting career and got into coaching/training.

I think saying they offered him more stability than the Clippers did is a pretty safe bet.

Donald Sterling is the worst owner in the NBA . . . he treats his employees like crap, and he refuses to pay them what they are owed after they are fired . The last two GMs, Elgin Baylor and Mike Dunleavy, both sued Sterling, as have several former coaches.

Sterling is just a bad person. He had the largest settlement in history with HUD over apartments he owned and was on record calling certain minorities cockroaches.

Oh, and when one of his assistant coaches was diagnosed with cancer during the off-season, he still wouldn't pay them.

Neil is a good guy and did a great job rebuilding that franchise. Congratulations on the new contract. The Clippers are a terrible organization and will return to the basement as soon as Chris Paul leaves the team.
